Senior Project Scheduler

Softworlds' client is seeking a Senior Project Scheduler with Agile experience to support their program in Washington, DC.

Top 3 Requirements:
  • Strong Microsoft Project experience
  • WBS creation and dictionary experience
  • Earned Value Management experience


The ideal candidate for this position will possess advanced level skills and experience in Project Scheduling using Microsoft Project and can maintain accountability for the following:
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 10 years     
  • Perform schedule planning, development, maintenance, analysis and reporting
  • Develop and maintain the program WBS and WBS dictionary
  • Develop and maintain Integrated Master Plans (IMP)
  • Develop and maintain Resource– loaded Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
  • Advanced level understanding of EVM
  • Conduct schedule impact analysis for risks and change requests
  • Prepare the schedule for and conduct Schedule Risk Assessments using an automated Risk Tool
  • Understand Agile development methodologies and how to model them in a project schedule
  • Assist the planning, organizing, completing, and presenting of assessments of program/project scheduling and cost management concepts, analyses, studies, and procedures
  • Ensure Scheduling best practices and industry standards are being followed such as the Schedule Assessment Guide
  • Ensure scheduling deliverables are submitted on time and that they meet the requirements of the contract
  • Develop weekly and monthly status and analysis reports including but not limited to critical path analysis, variance analysis, trending analysis and major milestone reporting for program stakeholders

  • Work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities while delivering flawless client support
  • Possess an advanced level of understanding of Project Scheduling industry standards and best practices
  • Be an advanced level user of MS Project 2010/16
  • Have experience with IMP/IMS, EVM, resource loaded schedules, Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA), critical path analysis
  • PMP certification is desired
  • PMI-SP certification is desired
