Sr Electrical Design Engineer

A Senior Electrical Design Engineer is being sought to develop products for the latest high-tech secure surveillance and broadcast communications systems.
We’re looking for an all-round design engineer that has a proven track record in product design, that can work in a small team of RockStar engineers.

Job Requirements:
  • Altium CAD, including layout of high-layer-count high-technology boards
  • High speed circuit design using advanced materials and miniaturized packaging
  • Analog and power supplies, battery charging and low-power design
  • Embedded processors running Linux. Linux software driver ability would be great.
  • FPGAs, SOC FPGAs and memory systems
  • Wireless broadcast, RF transmitter and receiver design, WiFi and MESH radio
  • Familiarity with Digital Video and Audio, including compression, MPEG, H.264, ASI and DVB-T based COFDM
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and strong decision-making, organizational skills with initiative. Able to produce quality work with minimal checking or oversight.
  • Use of source control and PLM systems would be an advantage
  • Designing, building, testing/debugging, and producing high quality embedded products
  • Strong hands-on skills including prototyping/soldering and the use of a full range of instrumentation including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers
  • The candidate must be an excellent communicator, be able to multitask, and work well on collaborative designs as a key member in a small team
  • Experience with camera sensors and lenses would be a bonus
