Job Description:
  • The group is seeking a higher-level engineer with 25+ years of experience
    The successful candidate will participate in the design, simulation, development, and integration of high-performance RF subsystems used in radar, seeker, and EA applications spanning frequencies from VHF through Ka-band.
  • These include low noise receivers, frequency converters, exciters, transmitters, and antennas. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to system design, component selection, layout, fabrication, and testing.
  • In addition to laboratory testing, some field testing and analysis may be required. Additional duties will include working closely with fabrication technicians and junior engineers to guide development and testing of RF systems.
  • Candidates must have experience designing and testing linear, high dynamic range, wide bandwidth RF receivers and waveform generation systems.
  • Frequency bands of operation span VHF through Ka-band.

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience with RF receiver design, component selection, layout, fabrication, and testing.
  • Experience with RF components and the ability to perform system level trade analysis of issues such as sensitivity, dynamic range, linearity, and spurs.
  • Experience using common RF test equipment including signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Experience with automating RF test measurement using MATLAB.
  • Experience using RF simulation software to optimize receiver design.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated skill in rapid prototyping RF systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience designing, building, and testing receiver and waveform generation systems and subsystems for radars, missile seekers, and electronic warfare systems.
