Job Description


Systems Administrator – Oxford, MA (Hybrid)

As a systems administrator, you will help develop, maintain, and secure our global infrastructure.  The ideal candidate is a flexible, driven, diligent worker that can analyze the environment both as a whole and in detail to provide necessary business systems and services to end users. 

Duties:

1.       Administer Microsoft Azure, including AD syncing, license management, platform deployment, connectivity, and application interoperability.

2.       Administer AWS, including license management, platform deployment and connectivity.

3.       Administration of MFA and SSO

4.       Perform system upgrades and maintenance including service packs, hot fixes, and security configurations

1.      Manages the testing and deployment of Windows Updates to Windows Server operating systems

2.      Configures, installs, maintains, and performs infrastructure hardware upgrades for server and storage systems

3.      Assists with day-to-day administration operations of virtual environments including Nutanix and VMware

4.      Assists with maintaining and administration of Microsoft Exchange on-premise, Exchange Online, and spam filter systems

5.      Monitors and analyzes infrastructure systems and business applications for advanced notification of potential issues and identify and recommend proactive resolutions

6.      Ensures infrastructure systems and applications are maintained to meet the highest levels of security and data integrity

1.       Select, implement, and support enterprise systems, tools, policies, and procedures

2.       Produce documentation for existing and new systems and procedures

3.       Coordinate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

4.       Perform installation and migration of systems and services at branch locations





General Comments

Must have:

3+ years of experience with the following:

1.       Experience with Veeam or any other backup software

2.       Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy

3.       Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022

4.       Monitoring experience with SolarWinds or any other monitoring software




 Desired:

1.       Microsoft Azure or equivalent cloud experience

2.       Migration from on-premise Exchange to Office 365

3.       Experience with SSO, specifically Okta and Azure AD SSO

4.       Experience with PowerShell scripting

5.       Knowledge of networking configurations, installation, and maintenance

6.       ITIL Framework practices and procedures

7.       ITSM system management

8.       Merger and Acquisition experience 

9.       Microsoft Exchange

10.    Nutanix AHV and Prism

11.    VMware ESXi and vSphere

12.    DNS, DHCP, LDAP

13.    SSL Certificates and Certificate Authorities
